Fracture Toughness Determination (FTD)

Fracture Toughness Determination (FTD)

View Product Datasheet (PDF)

Product Highlights:

·         Computes fracture toughness based on the extended Griffith energy balance theory.

·         Saves time and money for sophisticated fracture testing by eliminating high standard specimen preparation, complex test procedures and data processing.

·         Requires stress/strain curves for tensile specimens as input. The curves can be obtained from experiments, handbooks or other available sources.

Applications/Benefits:

·         Predicts the fatigue life and performance of metallic structures (aluminum, titanium or steel) with minimal experimental testing.
