An Engineering Software Suite with the Solution

GENOA is an engineering material characterization, durability & damage tolerance (D&DT), and reliability software suite that augments the limitation of commercial Finite Element Analysis (FEA) packages by providing Multi-scale (Micro-macro) Progressive Failure Analysis (PFA) capability. Utilizing advanced failure mechanisms (matrix, fiber, lamina, laminate, Honeycomb sandwich) It can investigate structural responses to material degradation from damage induced by static, cyclic (low and high cycle fatigue, 2 staged), impact, Power Spectrum Density (PSD) and thermal loading. GENOA's PFA also accounts for the effects of manufacturing flaws (shape, size), fiber waviness, residual stresses, moisture and temperature.

A wide range of material systems can be handled, including metals, ceramics, and composites, and nano composite. The latter include Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC). GENOA is unique in that it can analyze not only traditional 2-D tape and fabric laminate layups, but also 3-D weaves, braids, and chopped fiber.

How GENOA is Different from Other Damage Analysis Software

Other software only performs analysis at the ply level of composites. GENOA advances the analysis deeper and further to the "Root Cause" fiber/matrix/interphase unit cell level. Known for its micro-mechanics and methodologies, Genoa PFA predicts the critical damage events index (damage initiation/propagation, fracture initiation/propagation, residual strength), and the multi-site crack path. GENOA provides a reliable and leading solution to material and FEA analysis.

 

Just Import and Go
GENOA is a complementary solution to your analysis environment. It augments FEA by adding capabilities to your solver of choice and does not replace your preferred FEA. It was designed to work with other mainstream software packages such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, and NASTRAN so that the user simply prepares a Finite Element Model in their preferred software and imports the final model into GENOA for further analysis.

GENOA allows a complete integration with the most popular FEA formats in the analysis market today. Whether you want to import from ABAQUS, ANSYS, NASTRAN or want to try an analysis with a different commercial solver (ABAQUS, ANSYS, NASTRAN, MARC, MHOST, LS-DYNA, and RADIOSS), GENOA gives you the freedom to be flexible with your analysis approach.
 

Parallel Processing using Cluster Nodes and Job Spooler
GENOA can be configured to run on cluster computing nodes and other scheduling job environments. GENOA may also be used on a single high-performance workstation server where the GENOA clients communicate directly with the server to run analysis jobs. This new feature is called GENOA Job Spooler and allows quick job batching and execution from a client to remote server therefore saving time for the user and not consuming the user's local workstation resources.
